VOCABULARY BUILD-UP

I need to build up my vocabulary. I need to learn new words.

The question is – which words?

Time is money. So, first, I shall invest time and effort in the most common and useful words.

I also need to learn analogous words. If I forget a word, I can use a synonym.

And how do I learn to use these essential words?

Clearly, I need to learn every new word in its context, that is in a sentence.

Here is what I need to do:

Write out whole sentences, not just words.
Write out synonyms and analogous words.
Make flashcards with new words in their contexts.
Keep the flashcards on the desktop of my laptop, on the smartphone and the tablet.

On second thought, if making flashcards takes too much time, I can paste new words into a Word document and keep it on the desktop of my computer.

I can also print the document and keep it on the desk where I can see it. Might be a good idea.
